Who is Tapo P125M (US) for?
A US household controlling a compatible indoor desk lamp, with the right Wi-Fi and ecosystem setup.
Our buying take
An ordinary lamp can be a more practical first automation than replacing several bulbs. A plug lets you control the lamp as one device while keeping its existing bulb. Before choosing one, decide whether a simple schedule in the manufacturer app is sufficient or whether you need an existing home ecosystem to control it. Matter support does not remove every setup requirement.
The tradeoff to understand
This is the US electrical version. It requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi; check the device load and the controller required by your chosen Matter ecosystem. Use only within the manufacturer’s limits.
Before you add it to your list
A connected plug adds switching and scheduling; it does not make an unsuitable appliance safe to leave unattended. Check the appliance instructions and regional electrical compatibility.
